In the years I’ve been involved with photography, I’ve learned to appreciate all the small things that make up the beautiful world we live in.
Each wedding is unique and a new chance for me to share with others my passion for soft and romantic style photography.

I specialize in dreamy, storybook weddings, but that doesn’t mean they still thrill my heart when I arrive to photograph them! It never gets “old” to me to be invited into the wedding days of my clients. I get to stand witness to emotional vows, hilarious toasts, and the first looks that always are so moving! Alaine and Travis  were easygoing, and lovely to work with. They were very much in love, and their day was both romantic and meaningful. The pair met in the parking lot of Alaine’s son’s school, and they were a great fit from the start. “When we were dating, we were very honest and open with each other, and really accepted one another. He is a wonderful male example for Hayden, my son”, explains Alaine, “We have only been together a few short years, but we are so excited to start the rest our life together.” Travis asked Alaine to marry him with a very romantic proposal at one of their favorite restaurants, and she says “When they brought out our dessert, the waitstaff also brought me a single red rose, and an envelope. In the envelope was a handwritten love letter talking about our relationship, and at the end of the letter, he proposed. When I looked up, he was kneeling on the floor of the restaurant with a huge grin and  the ring… I was so happy! I said yes, we kissed, and the whole restaurant seemed to be clapping and cheering for us!”

The bride explained she wanted a beautiful wedding surrounded by their cherished family and friends, and that’s exactly what it was. They also envisioned something very elegant, and Greencrest Manor in Battle Creek readily fit the bill. It’s an European-inspired bed and breakfast that harkens back to days gone by. The expansive property was used as a seminary in the 1960’s and was restored to it’s former beauty in 1987 by owners Tom and Kathy VanDaff. I loved the towering trees, and historic feel (loved the fountain), and the natural light flowed through huge windows, which was perfection.

I loved meeting Travis and Alaine, and celebrating with them! I wish them a lifetime of happiness.
