Kristen and Jason love a great adventure, and they’re embarking on the greatest one of all: marriage! I met up with these two for their engagement session, and they shared that they wanted photos that really capture raw moments. This beautiful couple met , and on their first date, they were surprised at how natural the conversations flowed…from there, the pair was inseparable. Their first date lasted hours, because they just kept talking! They have now been together for four years, and some of the things they enjoy together include golfing, fishing, camping, kayaking, and anything that involves the outdoors. Jason and Kristen can be found on many getaways with family and friends on the weekends as well, and they recently purchased a camper, so I’m sure they have many exciting weeks ahead! During the course of their relationship, the pair also weathered an extensive remodel when they bought a home. Of course, anyone who has renovated a home knows it can bring out unique stressors, but Kristen says, “The process took a lot of patience and communication, and it took six months to do the work ourselves, but Jason taught me a lot about construction and electrical work, which was new to me!”
Jason proposed during a trip to Mackinaw at Christmastime, at a beautiful lighthouse under a bridge. How romantic! Now, they are implementing their can-do attitudes and positivity in their wedding planning, and things are going great. “We are now planning this day, and cannot wait to start the next chapter of our lives. We have already created our dream home, and explored with tons of traveling, and now we are excited to get married and start a family”, explains Kristen, “We chose Celestina for our photos because we both fell in love with her portfolio. She is able to capture the importance of the moment, and gets shots of the couple and the space. We wanted to feel at ease, and take time to enjoy what the day is all about!”
I wish this pair the best, as they navigate the new adventure of being engaged and planning their dream day. It’s such an exciting time, and I know they will be so happy!
