In the years I’ve been involved with photography, I’ve learned to appreciate all the small things that make up the beautiful world we live in.
Each wedding is unique and a new chance for me to share with others my passion for soft and romantic style photography.

“I choose you. And I’ll choose you over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt,
in a heartbeat. I’ll keep choosing you.” -Unknown

This was just an incredibly special session. It celebrated years of love between two amazing people, and it was a privilege to be a part of it. Dana is an incredible makeup artist with loads of talent, and we worked together recently at a lovely wedding. Then, she entered a contest I had for couples, and won! I was thrilled that she was the lucky recipient, and couldn’t wait to get to know her in a different setting. Nik and Dana have been together, building their love story, for the last eight years. They met through a mutual friend, have been married for four and a half years, and now have an adorable family. “Some of our favorite ways to spend free time would be anything with our children, vacationing together, and summertime fun on our deck”, Dana shared, “Our family really values laughter and time together, and I love that Nik and I were friends before we even got married”. They also vacation once a year as a family, something that has given them many years of memories.

What I loved most about this shoot was that it didn’t have to be a “special occasion” or milestone to celebrate a love story. Marriage and family is a daily practice in saying “yes” to someone and sticking it out through good times and bad, and often, parents don’t schedule photoshoots for just the two of them. I wish they did more often, because I think these are the images that children will want to have for years and years…the foundation of their family: their parents. The lighting at Tiscornia Park Beach was absolutely gorgeous, and I think these would make awesome canvasses or large prints in their family home! Nik and Dana, it was such a delight to meet you both, and I’m so glad you entered my contest!
