I am sure that autumn is a favorite season for many photographers to shoot in, but it doesn’t stop me from loving it as well! I love getting to spread my creative wings with styled shoots, and one that was inspired by fall made me so excited. I did this session for the Blue Dress Barn, which is one of our premiere wedding venues. They are located in the Saint Joseph and Benton Harbor area, and are fairly close to bigger cities Chicago and Detroit, which makes them ideal for many discerning brides who want to welcome many friends and family members. The Blue Dress barn was started by Amelia and Kirby Briske, who are extremely proud of the hard work and history that stands behind this beloved venue. Although it opened in 2003, it has a rich lineage of weddings in Michigan, and is known as one of the most comfortable and desired wedding venues in the area. I especially love the combination of rustic elegance and beauty, and couldn’t wait to help style this setup.
The venue recently included a new ceremony site, and wanted to do a session to show how beautiful it is! I could just imagine these many benches filled with loved ones celebrating a wedding day with a happy couple, and know this new ceremony spot will hold many memories to come.
